Omid Aschari

Omid Aschari is Associate Professor of Strategic Management at the University of St. Gallen and an international expert in leadership effectiveness and purpose-driven, strategy-led corporate transformation. Since its inception in 2003, Omid is Managing Director of the globally respected flagship Master in Strategy and International Management (SIM-HSG), continuously ranked first in the world by FT since 2011.

Omid is Founder and Chairman of ASG Strategy Group AG since 2005, a professional service firm collaborating with corporate partners in building advanced leadership capacity in their organizations and executives. His thinking has been featured by international media including Financial Times, The Independent, Le Monde and The Guardian. Omid has appearances at public events, such as TEDxTalks, and has been invited as keynote speaker, panelist or topic leader at conferences, such as St.Gallen Symposium or the World Economic Forum in Geneva. Omid also lectures at other leading international institutions.

Omid earned an M.B.A. with high distinction from the Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management in California, U.S.A. He completed a Doctorate in management studies from the Johannes Kepler University of Linz, Austria, and holds several advanced certifications complementing his deep expertise as leadership enabler and top executive coach.

He is member of the DMB Advisory Board at NTU Singapore, member of the DDP Steering Board at INCAE Business School Costa Rica, and alumnus of the STARS symposium. Omid is founding president of the SIM Global Community network, member of the HSG Alumni Association and member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society, among others. Twice he has been nominee of the prestigious „Credit Suisse Award for Best Teaching“ at the University of St.Gallen.
