Biography
Western Ontario University
Otino Corsano graduated from OCAD University in 1992 before moving to Los Angeles to explore hybrid modes and new territories of art production.
After completing his graduate studies at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles in 2000, he opened and operated 50% Gallery in Toronto to design the context for his 'Daily Office' performance-drawing project. In September of 2000, he participated in the Sony's Heart Art Awards and Exhibition in Berlin. Otino's work was recently exhibited in New York at Lehmann Maupin Gallery for ACRIA's Unframed First Look Group Exhibition. Corsano describes his visual art practice as neo-conceptualist (new genre) work since he explores areas of meaning production in a variety of media. In addition to having art writings and artist interviews published online and in ArtUS magazine, Corsano has taught at the University of Toronto and OCAD University. He has exhibited extensively both in Toronto and abroad.
