Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health
Pam is a senior executive with experience in corporate, financial services, and public board environments. Her deep knowledge of strategy, finance, executive compensation, mergers and acquisitions, and equity and debt markets has allowed her to add value across industries.
The majority of Pam’s career was in financial services. She started at Chase Manhattan Bank lending money to growing technology companies and was recruited to Credit Suisse First Boston where she became a Managing Director in Investment Banking. After more than 20 years in financial services, Pam went to Oak Industries, a NYSE-listed manufacturer of telecommunications components, as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Treasurer, reporting to the CEO, where she engineered the sale of the company to Corning. Pam then became Chief Financial Officer of Convergent Networks, a high technology start-up.
Pam has 17 years of experience as a public company director and has served on five public boards. She is a financial expert, has chaired three audit committees and two compensation committees. She has also been chair of the board, presiding director, and on risk management and CEO search committees. Currently Pam is on three public company boards of directors: Civitas Solutions (CIVI) ,a health and human services firm; Monotype Imaging (TYPE), a software company; and American Superconductor (AMSC) which provides solutions for renewal energy. She is also on the board of directors of The Center for Women & Enterprise, co-chair of the Boston chapter of Women Corporate Directors, on the board of NACD’s New England chapter and the advisory board of the American College of Corporate Directors. She has a BA in mathematical economics and MA in economics, both from Brown University.
