As Coaching Talent Director EMEA Patrick is responsible for a network of 150 Associate Coaches across EMEA at CCL encompassing recruitment and selection, training, quality assurance, supervision and community building. Part of his role is also to coach senior executives in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Before joining CCL, Patrick was a Partner with Acker Deboeck & Company, a Belgian-British consultancy specializing in management and organization development issues focusing upon important events in the life cycle of organizations: Strategic Change, Mergers & Acquisitions, Globalization and Succession Planning. More particularly, he delivered organization reviews, psychological assessments, coaching assignments and career benchmarking appraisals of senior executives. Previously, Patrick was a senior Partner with Heidrick & Struggles , a premier executive search firm with 80 offices around the globe. He was based in Brussels and Hong Kong.
Patrick has consulted with a variety of sectors including manufacturing industries, financial services, FMCG and professional services.
Patrick’s coaching approach is characterized by a strong belief that the essence of leadership coaching is helping leaders work through their dilemmas so they can transform their learning directly into results for the organization.
Patrick’s recent coaching assignments include Principal in a major management consulting firm transitioning into the Partner role with all this implies in terms of executive presence, influencing, thought leadership and authenticity. He was CEO of a life sciences business acquired by a global semiconductor company quoted on the stock exchange. Challenge was to balance his entrepreneurship and long term strategic thinking with a more hands-on results orientated leadership style and more impactful influencing skills at Board level.
Patrick’s education, publications and professional affiliations include: MSc. Psychology (Free University of Brussels), Advanced Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring Supervision (Oxford Brookes, to be completed), Co-author of “Managing the Coaching Talent Pool”, chapter in the 2nd CCL Handbook of Coaching to be published in summer 2014, Certified user in CCL 360º suite, Voices 360º, MBTI Step I & II, Hogan Suite, FIRO B. and Coaching languages are English, Dutch and French.
