Paul Steenkamp

I was born in Harare, Zimbabwe, was raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, and have lived and worked in London, Dublin, Johannesburg, and Cape Town. Growing up as a white, privileged male under apartheid, and then making my life in a politically free but systemically unequal South Africa, are key experiences that have shaped me. I help the best executives and their teams improve lives using the power of human-centered design because my purpose is to help people uncover, protect, and nurture their inherent creativity, and help not waste their time at work.

I am passionate about democratizing innovation and my business is built around doing this. I value character strengths most as a leader (not to be confused with charisma).
