Paul Thompson

Paul is a trusted and strategic thought-partner to the CEO, Senior Leadership Team, and the Global Leadership Team. Paul is overjoyed to help steward us into and through a period of rapid growth and expansion of both impact and mission. Paul is passionate about our holistic mission and, in particular, empowering the diverse communities and people served by our global organization. As COO, Paul supports the development of integrated and streamlined systems, processes, and resources necessary for Plant WIth Purpose to become the premier organization operating at the nexus of environmental restoration and poverty alleviation.

Paul has served as CEO of five international organizations prior to joining Plant With Purpose. In addition, he was on the Plant With Purpose Advisory Board for 25 years. Paul has several certifications from the Center for Creative Leadership and has been privileged to provide strategic counsel in governance, long-range planning, and leadership development to over 25 community-based and international organizations. For nearly 45 years, Paul has been a proud husband to Konny Thompson. He is also the loving father of four children; Jenelle, Blake, Brittany, and Josh and grandfather to Drew, George, Theodore, and Rosemary.
