Payyazhi Jayashree

Dr Payyazhi Jayashree is Associate Dean (Education) and Associate Professor (HR) at the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD). She holds a PhD in Organisational Behaviour from Delhi University, India and is a multiple award winning Academic scholar and practitioner. Dr Jayashree comes with 17 years’ experience, half of which has been in leading key portfolios to achieve Strategic Institutional Priorities.

Dr Jayashree’s research interests are in the areas of Managing and Measuring Strategic Change and Gender Inclusive Leadership for Innovation and Change, and she has won both National and International Research Grants including most recently the UAE National Research Foundation (NRF) – Industry Research Collaboration (IRC) Award 2015 - 2016. She has presented several papers at top scholarly conferences and her research has been published in leading scholarly journals including The International Journal of Human Resource Management. Jayashree’ s contributions to social change is evidenced by her leadership of large funded projects in collaboration with key institutions such as the Dubai Business Women’s Council and the United Nations Development Program, with a specific focus on UN Sustainable Development Goal 5#Gender Parity.

Dr Jayashree’s sustained commitment to community engagement and impactful research in Women and Leadership has led to National Recognition in the UAE and substantial Media Coverage, including her initiatives being featured in prominent publications such as Forbes Middle East, along with key Awards - the ‘Women of Impact’ by UOW, Australia. Her expertise in Change Management and leadership of Social impact projects have also led her to be appointed as a Board Member, Governing Board, Water for People, India Trust.

Dr Jayashree has extensive operational experience in designing and delivering open and customized management development workshops across businesses and in major multinational companies with multicultural employee groups. Dr Jayashree is a Certified Balanced Scorecard Professional, awarded by the Balanced Scorecard Institute (BSCI) and George Washington University College of Professional Studies, USA. Dr Jayashree is also a Certified New Code Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner and Certified NLP Coach having been trained and certified by the Co-Creator of NLP and New Code NLP, John Grinder, UK.
