Biography

THNK School of Creative Leadership

Advocacy, civic engagement and public policy expert with extensive experience managing teams and initiatives.

Currently Director at Quid, a communications and mobilization lab for issues related to democracy and human rights focused on the development of data-driven projects and campaigns built on a deep understanding of audience niches, contemporary digital culture and political contexts. Also a Senior Fellow for Social and Economic Equity at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), a lecturer at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), and a Senior Facilitator at THNK School of Creative Leadership.

Lived and worked in countries across Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia, running projects at the local, national and international levels. Previous experience includes work with Greenpeace, Oxfam, Luminate, Legislative Assembly of São Paulo, Brazil Human Rights Fund, Self-Employed Women's Association of India (SEWA) and the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), among others.

Board member at democraciaAbierta (Latin American arm of openDemocracy), Engajamundo (leading youth-centered civic engagement and campaigning nonprofit), Rede Nossa São Paulo (nonprofit focused on multistakeholder engagement for advocacy around local-level policies), and the Advocacy Hub.

Master in Development Studies with distinction from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), holding postgraduate degrees in Economics and in Political Science as well. Also a trained facilitator, and an experienced public speaker and lecturer.

In 2012, one of the four people selected by The Elders to work with Nobel Peace Prize laureate Desmond Tutu, former President of Ireland Mary Robinson, former Prime Minister of Norway Gro Brundtland, and former President of Brazil Fernando Henrique Cardoso in a project related to the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development - Rio+20.
