Biography
Francis Petel started to teach at ESCP Europe in 1999, and then became an affiliate Professor in Corporate Education.He is currently the Scientific Director in the Program “Direction Commerciale” and the Scientific Director in the Program “Intra Entreprises” (currently Program “KPMG Middle Markets”).
In 2009, he was the Education Coordinator of the graduate programs ESCP europe, for the In-service training in Guadeloupe and in Guyana.
He also created the Program “Corporate Manager”, of which he became the Scientific Director.
He has been working as an expert in numerous firms as a commercial jobs specialist, as a consultant (Hachette, Case, IBM, Michelin…).
Francis Petel is a member of the Executive Committee of the Fédération des Dirigeants Commerciaux de France, being the head of the Permanent Observatory of the commercial function since 1998.
He is also a member of the CNCP (Commission Nationale de la Certification professionnelle), of the CNESER (Conseil National de l’Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche) and of the SFE (Société Française d’Evaluation).
As a member of the Board and Past President (2009-2011) of the EMC (European Marketing Confederation), he has been piloting numerous European projects for 15 years.
He is an expert by the European Commission and has participated to the project of Recommendation for the “Cadre Européen des Certifications” at the DG Education (EQF- European Qualifications Framework), director of the Training “Tout au Long de la Vie” (2004-2006).
Francis Petel is currently Chairman of the notable group “Compétences Transversales” of the European project ESCP (Eurpean Skills, Competences and Occupation) who gathers the DGEAC and the DG Job.
