Biography

Mr. Göttel studied aerospace engineering at the University of the Bundeswehr in Munich. He was then responsible for the creation of SW requirements for avionics software in the “Technical Experiments Group”. During this time he also completed postgraduate studies in “Energy and Environmental Technology” at the TU Berlin. The next step took him to an (engineering) planning office (today e.on AG) and to the project planning of large systems (Nuremberg and Budweis). At the same time, he established a QM system according to ISO 9001.

He then moved to o2 Telefonica. As Vice President Quality and Projects, he established PM standards and qualification of project personnel with the creation of a corresponding career path.

In October 2006 he founded blue Project Management (www.bluePM.eu), which covers all facets (assessment, consulting, coaching and training) of project management.

Mr. Göttel has been one of 30 authorized “training partners of the GPM (German Society for Project Management)” nationwide since 2000 and has been continuously recognized as a “Best-in-Class Trainer” by the GPM in recent years, most recently in March 2018. He has already successfully qualified well over 1,500 participants for an internationally recognized PM certificate from GPM/IPMA.
