Biography

Philip Herter has been a language lecturer at the American Language Institute since 2006. He holds an M.F.A. in Fiction from Warren Wilson College, Swannanoa, NC; and a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Michigan. He has been a columnist for the St. Petersburg Times covering international literature in translation. In addition, he is a freelance journalist contributing assignments on literature, popular culture, and travel for New York Newsday, the Denver Post, Boston Herald, and Travesias (Mexico City).
