Philip D. Poorvu, MD is a breast medical oncologist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) and an instructor in medicine at Harvard Medical School. He is a member of the Adult Fertility Preservation Program at DFCI and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. His research focuses on fertility issues for young adults with cancer. Dr. Poorvu’s work has investigated fertility interest, pregnancy and outcomes among young women with breast cancer, risks to fertility from cancer treatments, and utilization of fertility preservation techniques.
