Executive School of Management, Technology and Law

Philipp Speitler works as judge in Baden/Württemberg. Furthermore, he is corresponding member of the CC EIL-HSG and Executive-MBL-HSG. Philipp is also lecturer at the University of St.Gallen HSG. In his professional career Philipp worked as an attorney, in-house, legal secretary and in academia.

Philipp has obtained the title of Dr. iur. HSG (summa cum laude) for his thesis "Rechtsverletzende Benutzung: die dynamische Auslegung des markenrechtlichen Benutzungsbegriffs durch den Gerichtshof der Europäischen Union". He has co-drafted several expert opinions, e.g. Prof. Dr. Carl Baudenbacher´s report for the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO, Evaluation of some core fields of the Swiss Cartel Act. His current research, speaking, and teaching activities are focused on the area of European Economic and Business Law. Moreover, Philipp is the Editor-in-Chief of the European Law Reporter.
