Biography

Kelley School of Business

As a career coach, network initiator, and educator I help people identify their personal brand, integrate it into their career strategy, develop tailored application materials, and create a career plan that aligns with who they are and what they want. I am qualified to coach you on resumes, cover letters, interviewing, networking, career exploration, choosing your major, graduate school, alternative paths for PhD students, job searching, career fair prep, personality, and more.

I originally thought I would do something in the medical field and know firsthand what it's like to change your mind about your career and continue navigating what you want to do after college. I took some time after graduating to work full time in the healthcare industry, and realized it wasn't a fit for me. I went back to school for my Master's of Science in Education for Counselor Education where I ultimately discovered I am happiest helping, consulting, teaching, and facilitating.

I have coached 100s of individuals from around the world and in different career life stages. I am certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Strong Interest Inventory (SII) and Keirsey, and have experience with several others listed below in my profile.

• Taught five different college level career related courses in 4, 6.5, 8 and 16 week increments both in person and online • Experience in Career Development and Coaching since 2011, incorporating technology into services (online learning, virtual appointments and office hours, online networking, recorded lectures, online surveys, employer relations) and working with students of all majors, returning adults, military students, and international students • Certified practitioner in MBTI, SII and the Keirsey Temperament Sorter • Proven experience in conference presentations, keynote speaking, and classroom facilitation • Experience leading a virtual board for a statewide professional association over the course of 5 years representing 80+ institutions and 200+ paid members

When I'm not in class or collaborating with my students, you will find me experimenting in the kitchen, playing with my two boys, or planning the next real estate investment project with my husband that is meaningful and will make a difference in the world.
