Rajeev Kumar

Rajeev currently works as the Director of Technology at CEDA, the state's largest and oldest community action agency. Here he provides leadership, governance and a strategic vision of organizational innovation through technology. He leads and guides the development and implementation of the organization’s IT systems, its operations and the IT department. He also oversees the agencies cybersecurity posture and is responsible for implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

Rajeev has worked previous roles as the Director of Technology, primarily in the public service arena at the City of Chicago's legal department where he conducted strategic and operational technology planning and implementations. Here, he was responsible for technical vendor management, budgeting, contracting as well as business process re-engineering. He has advised attorneys and government leadership on the processes of Electronic Discovery, Investigative computer forensics as well as compliance and security practices. He has also done a stint at the Chicago Transit Authority where he has managed real time transit tracking systems.

Rajeev received his Master of Science degree in Business and Information Technology from DePaul University and his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from Northeastern Illinois University
