Biography

Carlson School of Management

Rand Park is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship. He currently teaches Corporate Responsibility and Ethics (MGMT 1005 and Honors MGMT 1005H), Corporate Responsibility and Ethics (CMBA 5824), and the Ethical Environment of Business (MBA 6315).

Prior to his faculty appointment at the Carlson School in Fall 2013, he was the Vice President of Development for the Minnesota Private College Council. Prior to this, he held positions in corporate relations and fundraising at the Carlson School of Management and the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences at the University of Minnesota.

Since 1997 he has taught ethics courses at Hamline University, the University of Minnesota College of Continuing Education, and the Carlson School of Management. He has presented on the topic of corporate philanthropy and higher education at national conferences, and presented executive training on ethical decision making to a number of professional offices and groups, including the Office of the Legislative Auditor for the State of Minnesota, the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches, the Hennepin County Bar Association, and the Minnesota Power Systems Conference.

Rand has held a variety of professional positions over the past 20 years, including law, public finance, higher education administration, and fundraising and development. From 1997 to 2002 he served on the Board of Directors of HealthPartners, Inc. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau Foundation of MN and ND.

He has a PhD from the University of Minnesota, a JD from the Hamline University School of Law and a BA and MA from the University of Georgia. He has held NASD Series 7 and 63 licenses, and remains a member of the Minnesota Bar in good standing.
