I am the founder and Managing Director of*Interactive Africa, a Cape Town based media and marketing company. Before this, I established the international *Design Indaba, one of the world’s leading design institutions through its flagship conference and expo. I also sit on the jury of the **Index Awards and the jury of the Dutch Design Awards.

THNK held a lively Forum session with me in the Amsterdam Conservatorium Hotel. What are the possibilities for a shared African identity given its great variety of peoples and states? What do creative leaders need to know about Africa? Africa is a continent with enormous potential and challenges.
