Research & Teaching Interests

Professor McCarty''s research interests are in the area of capital markets and the disclosure of corporate tax information, particularly as it relates to corporate tax aggressiveness and tax risk. Her teaching interests are in individual and corporate taxation and financial accounting.

Industry & Academic Experience

Professor McCarty worked in the tax practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to joining the D''Amore-McKim School of Business, she taught at the University of Tennessee and served as a graduate research assistant.

Services to the Profession

Professor McCarty is a member of the AICPA, the American Accounting Association, and the American Taxation Association.
