Adjunct Professor of Organisational Behaviour
Richard Jolly is Adjunct Professor of Organisational Behaviour at London Business School. He has created and taught two electives, ‘Inter-Personal Dynamics’ and ‘Paths to Power’, and has taught many OB courses, including the ‘Leadership Skills’, ‘Managing People and Organisations’ and ‘Developing Effective Managers and Organisations’ core modules; the ‘Managing Change’ elective; as well as the ‘Executive Leadership’ module on the EMBA Global with Columbia Business School and on the EMBA Global Asia with Columbia Business School and Hong Kong University.
He is a faculty lead for Government, Healthcare & Third Sector and has been faculty lead for Technology & Media on the LondonCAP. He also co-leads the Global Business Experience in Lima, Peru and the Global Business Assignment in Mexico City.
Richard was voted Best Programme Teacher by students in 2003, runner-up in 2007, won two runner-up awards in 2010 and runner-up in 2011, and won Best Teacher again in 2014. Richard also instructs a large number of Executive Education courses for London Business School in the UK and across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Asia. He has lectured in 41 countries.
He has co-directed the ‘Professional Services: Strategic Client Relationships’ and ‘Leading Change’ open programmes, and has also taught on the ‘Senior Executive Programme’, ‘Accelerated Development Programme’, ‘The Essentials of Leadership’ and ‘HR Strategy in Transforming Organisations’, as well as a diverse portfolio of company-specific programmes for over 70 leading global firms, including Air Liquide, Areva, Arla, Barclays, British Joint Forces Command, BT, Carlsberg, Clariant, Danone, Deutsche Bank, Ernst & Young, HSBC, IBM, Jardines, Johnson Matthey, KPMG, Kuwait Petroleum, Linklaters, Lloyd’s of London, Lufthansa, Nestle, Nordea, Orascom, Novo Nordisk, Procter & Gamble, PwC, Rabobank, Rio Tinto, Roche, SABIC, Sberbank, Telenor, Vodafone, the World Economic Forum and YPO.
Outside of academia, Richard is a Director of the organisational consulting firm, Stokes & Jolly Consulting Limited, with offices in the UK and the US, where he works with clients representing a wide range of sectors, including central and investment banking, private equity, asset management, law and accountancy firms, management consultancy, pharmaceutical, insurance, property, retail, aviation, advertising, media, music, architecture, consumer goods, telecommunications, information technology, oil & gas, engineering and manufacturing firms.
Richard’s primary consultancy interests focus on designing and delivering executive development workshops, coaching senior managers and facilitating senior management teams, with an emphasis on leadership and change management agendas. He received his MBA with Distinction from London Business School.
