IMD Business School

Ric serves as Affiliate Professor of Leadership & Organization with IMD. He is a senior business psychologist who has led advisory projects for clients in over 30 countries. He advises Boards and CEOs on matters related to Board Renewal, CEO Succession, Top Team Effectiveness and Leadership Transitions.

He has over 25 years of consulting and teaching experience, including 18 years based in Asia. Prior to joining IMD he served as head of leadership advisory services for Russell Reynolds for Asia Pacific.

He has partnered with a diverse range of clients including BNP Paribas, Bank Indonesia, Loreal, Nomura, Essilor, Globe Telcom, DBS Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Toyota, Unilever, Fidelity, Bank Muscat, Schneider Electric, Barclays Global Investors, HP, Total, Maxis, Motorola, Carlyle Group, MetLife, Baker McKenzie, Olam, IHH Healthcare, Aflac Insurance, Lafarge-Holcim, Siam Commercial Bank, Grosvenor Group, Danske Bank, FWD Insurance, Ericsson, MUFG, Suntory, Bank Danamon, KKR, Cisco, Dole, CIMB, Shiseido, Widex-Sivantos, Hitachi, Thai Military Bank, PIMCO, Temasek Holdings, Bajaj Group, and Norges Bank

His research has appeared in a variety of practitioner-oriented journals including Stanford University Executive Briefing Series, The Economist Intelligence Unit, The Conference Board, HQ Asia, Diamond Japan and the Human Resource Journal. He also authored a book called: Advanced Change Methodology for Internal and External Consultants. This book, along with the digital change tools included with this publication, have been adopted by leading companies including Cisco Systems, HP, Johnson & Johnson and McKesson. He has served as a jury member for the Best Learning Organizations in Asia consortium and received their Leadership Luminary Award in recognition of his work in the field of leadership development.

At IMD he teaches in the areas of Integrative Thinking, Leadership Transitions, Global Mindset and Leading Organizational Change. He is a frequent conference keynote and corporate event speaker.

Ric received his B.S. in Engineering from the University of Arizona, M.A. from Antioch University in Whole Systems Design, and doctoral degree in Leadership and Organization from University of San Francisco. Previously he taught in the MSOD degree program for the University of San Francisco and served as visiting professor in Japan for the Nagoya University of Commerce and Business teaching in the MBA and EMBA programs.
