Biography
Aalto University School of Business
I am an Associate Professor of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at Aalto University, School of Science. I hold a PhD in Information Systems Science. My research focuses on service engineering and management in technology-based businesses. It involves digitalization of operations and services, collaborative innovation for service, and management of complex service systems. Also, I study entrepreneurial leadership in the transformation toward service-based value creation in technology industries. I currently serve as the Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management. In my own research, my colleagues and I currently work on projects in service operations management, digital platforms for business, multi-actor value creation in industrial ecosystems, blockchain technologies, technology entrepreneurship, and the institutional complexity of service transformation. Our past projects have investigated the managiement of product-service hybridity in the construction business, payer-provider integration of healthcare services, and the the effects of modularity on industrial solution providers’ ambidextrous performance.
