Riyang Phang is an HR educator and an interdisciplinary researcher who bridges computational simulation methods with human resource management. He has a professional certification in Total Rewards design by WorldatWork, US, and is an experienced agent- based modeler. He has a wide range of research interests from culture, olfaction, infrasound to poltical psychology. He had provided HR advice to several local businesses, and brought in funding for the university in 2018. He was the recipient of two research grants and has led the collection of employee attitudinal and cultural psychological data for more than 4000 employees in the Kyrgyz Republic. He introduced the use of Qualtrics in the university, was the Chair of AUCA Institutional Review Board, and is currently the GLOBE 2020 country investigator. He is the top MBA instructor in 2020, and has students who were awarded the university and department best thesis awards.
