Professor Levine has published translations of medieval Latin and Middle French texts of an historical nature, two dozen articles mainly concerned with the rhetorical nature of the same texts, as well as papers on Wolfram von Eschenbach, Dante, Chaucer, Cuvelier, and the Pearl-poet. He is currently working on the uses of ineffability in medieval Latin hymns.
