Biography

Eller Executive Education

Rob is full-time faculty at the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona as well as Professor of Operations Management at Thunderbird School of Global Management. In his teaching, he focuses on leadership, supply chain and logistics, quality and improvement management, and operations management. He also leads the consulting projects program for the Department of Management Information Systems at Eller College of Management, where masters’ students work with sponsoring companies such as APS, the Raytheon Company, Walmart, Qualcomm, Republic Services, and many other significant organizations on full-semester consulting projects. Rob has over 35 years of experience in business and leadership. Among other roles, he served as Vice President in Global Fortune 1000 semiconductor and pharmaceutical manufacturing companies, where he lead and managed global organizations. He has been part of Total Quality (QMS) initiatives, ISO9000, TS16949, and Lean Six-Sigma efforts. He has been engaged in significant merger and acquisition activity, from evaluation through acquisition integration, and in significant factory and supply chain expansion efforts. He has also been responsible for many major systems implementations and operations improvements in nearly every area of the business. Until the 2015 acquisition by Microchip Technology, Inc., he served as an independent board member for ISSC Technology. He also serves as an advisory board member for Tiempo Software Development and a national board member for Kids at Hope. Rob received his MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and BA from Loretto Heights College, now part of Regis University.
