Robin has been coaching professionally since 2004 and enjoys working with individuals and teams on developing leadership skills and personal development in both private and public sectors.

Robin has 22+ years experience in the corporate world working initially in Williams and Glyn’s Bank and then for BT. This has helped develop his business, management and leadership skills, and has seen him build high performing teams, run successful projects and work closely with some large companies such as Philips, Microsoft, Sage and Apple as well as many UK small and medium enterprises.

His corporate career involved product and project management roles which led to him delivering a world first. He then headed up a marketing department within BT, managing a £3m budget in a £750m turnover division. He left in Dec 2003.

In 2004, Robin served a year on the board of the London Borough of Waltham Forest’s Housing organisation, Ascham Homes, as a non-executive director which helped build better bridges between the residents and the staff.

Robin is the founder and director of Matrix7 Ltd, a company he set up in 2004 and spent a year studying and practising to obtain his diploma in coaching.

Robin then created the highly regarded Every Teacher Matters® Programme providing leadership development and personal effectiveness for teachers. It was used by schools including Plumstead Manor, Wanstead High, Wormley, Broadfields and Christ College Finchley.

Robin has been an associate of The Leadership Trust since 2000 following his own leadership training and is also an accredited executive coach with them. Robin is now one of their senior Course designers and Course Directors. Robin’s work with The Leadership Trust led to the creation and delivery of the high impact 1-day ‘Leadership Foundations’ open course as well as co-development and delivery of the 3-day open course ‘Leading with Impact’. Robin also facilitates the 5-day ‘Leadership in Management’ open course.

He is also one of the few John Adair Accredited Trainers for ‘Action Centred Leadership’. John Adair was the world’s first Professor of Leadership and in 2009, was appointed Chair of Leadership Studies United Nations System Staff College in Turin.

In 2017 Robin became BPS accredited in the use of Psychometric profiling tools, in particular the TalentQ suite of Dimensions and Elements. In 2018, he qualified as a Mental Health First Aider.

Robin is skilled at designing and delivering customised development and has worked with a number of clients including, Indigo Vision, Peak Scientific, NHS Scotland, The Haven, Arts Council, Williams Medical, NHS Salisbury, National Aids Trust, South Gloucester and Stroud College, Emirates Foundations, Creo Medical, Kent University, CSL Behring, Harmonics, CTG, Middx Uni, MWUK Ltd, British Wheelchair Basketball, Network Rail. Housing Quality Network, Prodrive, Bird Luckin, GE Healthcare, Medtronic.

Robin is also involved with creating and attending public events for The Leadership Trust and has represented them as MC / guest speaker. He has also created and delivered masterclasses at the request of clients such as NHS Salisbury and taster sessions at the CIPD L&D Shows at Olympia.

Robin also enjoys Badminton, golf and photography.

Robin lives in Gloucestershire.
