Harvard Graduate School of Design

Rodolfo Machado is an architect and urban designer. Alongside Jorge Silvetti, he is Founding Principal of Machado Silvetti, established in 1985. Rodolfo received his Diploma in Architecture from the Universidad de Buenos Aires and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of California, Berkeley. In addition to his practice, Rodolfo has taught at various academic institutions; he was chair of the Rhode Island School of Design department of architecture from 1978 until 1986, and taught at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design from 1986 until 2010, where he chaired the Department of Urban Planning and Design from 2004-to-2009.
