University of St. Gallen
Dr. Roman Rietsche is a PostDoc and research group leader at the Institute for Information Management at the University of St.Gallen. His research focuses on digital feedback, designing and developing innovative learning systems using AI and natural language processing, and understanding the impact of quantum computing on organizations.
His teaching at the University of St. Gallen focuses on the design of conversational agents, data science and business innovation and transformation. Dr. Rietsche designed conversational agents for industry funded projects by Siemens, VW, SIX, etc. In a Flagship project funded by Innosuisse, he develops with his team and consortium consisting of universities such as EHB, EPFL, UZH, ZHAW and companies such as evrlrn, a digital coach to support re- and up-skilling of employees.
During his one-year research fellowship with the Swiss National Science Foundation, he was a visiting researcher at Temple University in Philadelphia, USA, and the University of Cambridge in England. Dr. Rietsche studied Computer Networking and Information Technology and received his Master’s degree in Information Systems from the University of Mannheim. His Ph.D. of the University of St.Gallen was in the field of business innovation, focusing on the design, development and evaluation of IT tools for giving and receiving digital feedback.
