Ronald Guymon

Ron earned a B.S. and M.Acc. in Accounting from Brigham Young University, and a Ph.D. in accounting from the Tippie College of Business at The University of Iowa. Ron has held academic positions at Washington University in St. Louis, Georgia State University, and The University of Illinois. His teaching and research have focused on managerial accounting. He has been involved with the IMA and passed the CMA exam.

Ron has also worked in industry in data analytic roles for start-up companies. He worked as the chief data scientist for Numetric, a business intelligence software company. Currently, Ron works at Gigg, a social media influencing company, where he serves as the Chief Data Officer. In these roles, Ron has worked with a wide variety of companies (e.g., large computer hardware company, a mid-sized sprinkler manufacturer, and a small educational company that helps parents teach children how to read). Ron has a passion for helping people make better informed decisions by using data.
