Ryan Federo

I am currently an associate professor in the Department of Business Economics (Faculty of Economics and Business) of the Universitat de les Illes Balears in Palma de Mallorca.

I received my PhD in management sciences from ESADE Business School-Universitat Ramon Llull in Barcelona-Spain. I specialize in strategy, corporate governance, and international organizations. My PhD thesis focuses on the governance of intergovernmental organizations (IGOs), in which I identify how IGOs can establish strategies and can be monitored to improve their organizational performance.

Creating and sharing knowledge to improve the quest for delivering global public goods is my primary motivation why I pursued a career in academia.

I am a certified public accountant with more than a decade of combined professional and industry experience. I embrace a global and diverse perspective, having lived in five countries and visited five continents.

In my spare time, I catch up on my reading, watch a hefty amount of movies and TV series, experiment on cooking, or lounge on a chiringuito.
