Biography

Sam Blank is certified as a conflict resolution specialist by the International Center for Cooperation and Conflict Resolution (ICCCR) and the State of New York. He is a certified SAVE trainer with the New York State Education Department and holds multiple degrees in learning systems design from Columbia University and in communication theory from Hunter College, City University of New York. Sam has been an instructional designer and senior trainer for over 30 years and has been involved nationally and internationally in areas of negotiation and mediation, conflict resolution, communications and crisis management. Professor Blank has taught at the City University of New York and developed and taught graduate-level Crisis Management courses at Pace University. He is the author of Managing Organizational Conflict published by McFarland and the co-author of Stand and Deliver: High Impact Presentations published by Pearson. He designed Cross Cultural Negotiation and Communication for Fordham University's Gabelli School of Business. Sam is a faculty member of the American Management Association and teaches workshops in Negotiation. He has facilitated workshops for Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations. His areas of expertise include Negotiation, Crisis Management, Communication Skills, Team Leadership Development, and Mediation.
