Biography
Villanova University
My research focuses on the neural control of ingestive behavior. I received my PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Illinois at Chicago. In the lab of Dr. Mitchell Roitman, I investigated the influence of physiological state on phasic dopamine responses to rewarding and aversive stimuli. As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Matthew Hayes' lab, I am using behavioral, virogenetic, pharmacological, molecular and imaging techniques to explore central sites of action that mediate the food intake-suppressive effects of established (e.g. GLP-1R agonists) and novel pharmacotherapies for obesity.
