Zicklin School of Business
Sandip Basu, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Management at the Zicklin School of Business. He received his Ph.D. in Strategic Management from the University of Washington, Seattle. Dr. Basu’s research has been published in several reputed academic journals and addresses questions relating to the pursuit of adaptation and innovation in large and small firms. He has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in strategic management, innovation, and social responsibility, in multiple U.S. universities as well as overseas.
Over the years, Dr. Basu has received best paper awards for some of his presentations at the Academy of Management conferences, a Kauffman Foundation fellowship for his Ph.D. dissertation, and grants by CUNY and California State University (his previous employer) to pursue his research. He also has considerable professional experience in the foods, beverages, and metals industries, prior to his academic career.
