Sarah Syversen advises undergraduate students in the Communication Studies department. She also provides advising support for the Health Communication and Media and Creative Markets modules. Her career as an advisor in higher education has centered on helping students identify and achieve their academic, personal, and professional goals. Her teaching and academic work focus on career exploration and professional identity development, as well as the impact of social media and technology on self-presentation, mental health, and well-being.

Outside of Northwestern, Sarah is a licensed clinical professional counselor specializing in the areas of transition, anxiety, stress, and career. When she's not working, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, reading memoirs, and attempting adventure sports.
