Sharon Lobel has taught at the University of Michigan, University of Washington, and at the State University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She was an associate editor of Human Resource Management (1993 -1998) and a member of the editorial board of Academy of Management Journal (1993 -1999). Dr. Lobel is a widely-published scholar and has often been quoted in the media. In addition to her undergraduate and graduate classes, she teaches a variety of courses for the executive audience in the Leadership-Executive MBA Program. She has worked with executives from a wide variety of industries and enjoys sharing her knowledge of best practices for designing and leading exceptional teams. Recently, she delivered a keynote presentation on "Work Overload" for the Port of Seattle and was a panelist at a conference on "Work-Life: Cross-National Conversations" in Paris. As a consultant, she conducts team building retreats for local organizations. Dr. Lobel and her family frequently travel to Brazil, so she has, unavoidably, become a fan of World Cup soccer.
