Biography
International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans
Sheri is the Vice President of Stakeholder Relations and Communications for LAPP Corporation and has held this position since 2010. Sheri manages communications and relationship building for LAPP and is part of the senior executive team that provides advice and support to both LAPP Boards. Sheri has many years of executive experience in stakeholder relations, communications and government relations.
In addition, Sheri holds elected office as a Public School Trustee for St. Albert, currently serving in her second term. She is a graduate of the Rotman School of Management, Directors Education Program (DEP) and holds an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Sheri is a founding director of the Canadian Public Sector Pension Leadership Council (CPPLC) and sits on the Board of Directors for the AIMCo Foundation for Financial Education. She is the Board Chair for the Supplemental Integrated Pension Plan (SiPP) of the Alberta School Board’s Association (ASBA) and is an instructor for the International Foundation of Employee Benefits Plan (IFEBP) in its Master of Trust Management Standards program (MTMS).
Before joining the pension industry in 2010, Sheri served as Executive Director, Corporate Communications for Alberta Health Services and Director of Communications for Palliser Health Region. Prior to working 15 years in the public sector, Sheri spent more than 20 years in the private sector, working as a journalist. She held the position of Assistant Managing Editor of the Medicine Hat News, before moving into a career in communications.
Sheri holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Victoria, a certificate in Pension Plan Administration, and a pensions certificate in Advance Trust Management Standards (ATMS).
