Dr. Mor graduated from Columbia University with a B.A in psychology and sociology (magna cum laude) and a Ph.D. in Management from Columbia Business School (2013). Shira also completed the Summer Institute in Political Psychology in 2009 under the direction of Professor Jon Krosnick. Shira obtained certificates of negotiations training from Kellogg School of Management and nominated as the Inaugural Negotiations Fellow at Columbia Business School. In 2013 Dr. Mor was awarded an ERIM Fellowship from Erasmus University and hired as an Assistant Professor (tenure track) in Management at age 31. Dr. Mor worked closely with Professor Dianne Bevelander from the Center for Women and Organizations and was part of a 3 million Euro negotiation contract that was signed with the University for a three year training program for executives at the bank. From 2016-2018 Shira was nominated as a research fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School Women and Public Policy Program ( WAPPP). Shira’s negotiations research on the effects of gender on negotiation has won awards from the International Association for Conflict Management (IACM) and the Society for Personality and Social Psychology. Shira has published negotiations research in leading journals such as Psychological Science and the Harvard Business Review. Shira also currently conducts organizational science research with global tech organizations such as HP. Dr. Mor’s research on negotiations was awarded a 750,000 NIS Grant in 2018 from the Israeli Ministry of Science and her leading symposium with INSEAD, the University of Amsterdam, and the University of Waterloo was nominated for a second-round proposal (10/10) at the European Union Horizon 2020 Gender Net grant call in 2019. Since 2020, Dr. Mor has opened a Consulting Firm called Mona Lisa Consulting specializing in Diversity Best Practices & Executive Training for start-ups & NGOs.
