Dr. Sinéad Roden is an Associate Professor in Logistics and Supply Management. Prior to joining Trinity in 2015, Sinéad held positions at Cass Business School, City University London and the University of Bath. She holds a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management from Queen's University Belfast. Sinéad is an empircal researcher in the area of supply chain management. She is interested in new doctoral researchers with proposals related to supply chain security and supply chain risk management.

Sinéad's primary research interests lie at the boundaries of supply chain management and behavioural theory with a specific focus on the management of strategic supplier relationships for resilience, risk mitigation and innovation. Given the increasingly ditigised marketplace, Sinéad's is also looking at the impact of digitial technologies and Big Data on organisations and their supply chains.

Sinéad's research has involved collaborations with a wide variety of cross-sectoral organisations and has been supported with funding from the EPSRC, National Assembly for Wales and the Welsh Assembly Government. Her work has been published in a range of world leading journals, including Journal of Operations Management, International Journal of Operations & Production Management, R&D Management, Production Planning and Control, and Journal of Manufacturing and Technology Management. Sinéad's research has received numerous awards (Chris Voss Best Paper Award, EurOMA Conference, 2016; Highly Commended Award - European Foundation for Management Development, 2010; and, Highly Commended Award, Emerald Literati Network, 2012). She is a member of the editorial review board for Journal of Supply Chain Management and American Journal of Business, and active reviewer for leading journals in her field.

Sinéad is experienced in the delivery of a range of modules at undergraduate, masters, MBA, and Executive levels. She always strives to deliver up-to-date material in an interactive style and has won the Teacher of the Year Award at the University of Bath (2010-11), and been nominated in the Teaching Excellence category in both the Student Voice Awards (Cass Business School) and Mary Tasker Award (University of Bath).
