GIBS Business School

Dr. Sizakele Marutlulle is an intersectional strategist, creative problem-solver, leadership guide, brand strategist, international speaker and diversity +inclusivity scholar. She has held several executive positions in the advertising/marketing sector and business. Since launching her strategy and ideation practice, (www.sizakelemarutlulle.com) she has worked with executives of blue-chip companies and entrepreneurs across various sectors and multiple geographies to build high-influence brands that inspire people, grow companies and transform society. She advocates for human-centric creativism as the sustainable path to inclusive futures.

Since 2017, she has been an adjunct lecturer at GIBS ( Africa’s highly- rated business school ) teaching Brand Building to the MBA Cohort. In 2021, she joined the full time GIBS Faculty teaching across the subjects of ; strategy development and execution, creativity, leadership, DEI, systems thinking, future readiness and communication. This interdisciplinary approach enables her to integrate foresight with creativity and deliver a unique perspective on, and growth-path for, executives and the teams and businesses they lead.

She mentors the next-wave of female leaders through The Exchange (a program she founded and funds), publishes in mainstream business and marketing press and is invited to address conferences and/or custom corporate events across the globe. She hosts the succesful podcast Future Readiness with Za (https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/future-readiness-with-za/id1346567108) - a platform where she dialogues with leaders and social change agents about key issues shaping business, humanity and society.

Coupled with executive program qualifications from New York’s New School for Social Research as well as Harvard Business School, Dr Marutlulle holds a MA in Sociology and a Doctorate in Critical Diversity from the University of the Witwatersrand.
