Biography

Dr. Sonya Okoli is a former College Dean who traded-in a plush velvet robe to pursue her passion for Social Justice, Politics and Education. With over a decade of teaching and research experience in the areas of Community Leadership, Educational Policy, and Minority Student Achievement Disparities.

As of one of the most highly sought after Millennial, Socio-Political Guestperts in the country. Dr. Sonya’s commentary spans the influence of Social, Political, and Economic factors that impact underserved communities.

With this she's landed features on the nation’s top news broadcasts: Black News Network, Cheddar News, Fox News and RT America. In addition to Contributor segments on popular radio stations like V103 Atlanta, WAOK News Talk, 106Live and RadioOne. You can also find her as an occasional Columnist featured in the Atlanta Journal & Constitution, The Atlanta Voice and HERS Magazine.

Dr. Sonya also wears the hats of Best Selling Author "Parenting for College”, Instructor Morehouse College's Elite STEM High School Bridge Program (SMASH) and Board of Directors Academic Volunteer for Georgia’s only Charter School for Girls, The Ivy Preparatory Academy.

On top of all of her many accomplishments, Dr. Sonya is most proud of the work she is blessed to do with African American Youth aspiring the American Dream. As Managing Partner, at Colorfully Educated LLC. a boutique consulting firm helping families get strategic about college, career and debt-free degrees.
