I am based in: Amsterdam

I am currently the director of the Amsterdam Fashion Institute. I hold a Belgian passport, was born in Beirut, raised and educated in Belgium, and live in the Netherlands. An international environment is where I strive best; both personally as professionally.

I am curious by nature in past, present, and future; that is why I studied history at the University of Brussels and later in my career signed up for an MBA specializing in strategic marketing. Over the years I have worked in several commercial positions within the Randstad Group. In my last position as International Business Development Manager I had a global responsibility identifying, assessing, and developing new business opportunities. With that experience in the international field of business I was able to expand the ambition and international network of the Amsterdam Fashion Institute. I also serve as Chair of the Education Committee for the International Apparel Federation. Furthermore I am a member of the Executive Committee of the worldwide education network IFFTI.

I am passionate about fashion and new ways of working with sustainable solutions. Making a change in the current system without losing the beauty and the joy that fashion brings.

I have two children and a dog. I love to travel, see and explore new cultures, and like to go to a good concert!
