Spencer is a senior executive and member of the Board of Directors of The St. Louis Trust Company, a multi-family office and trust company. He has over 40 years of Experience in corporate finance, much of it involving family owned businesses. Prior to his current position, he was Director of the Corporate Finance Department of A.G. Edwards & Sons (now Wells Fargo Advisors) and a member of the brokerage firm''s Board of Directors and its Capital Markets and Private Equity Investment Committees. Prior to Edwards, Spencer was a General Partner and Chairman of the Investment Banking Department of Edward Jones, LLC., and a partner in the corporate transactions and Securities law department of Bryan Cave LLP law firm. He started his career in corporate finance in the New York law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Olin in courses on Investment Banking and Private Equity. He earned his B.A. in economics and J.D. from University of Pennsylvania.
