Stephen Noerper is a Korea Society senior director, Columbia University adjunct professor, and fellow with Columbia’s Weatherhead East Asia Institute and Pacific Forum CSIS. He served prior as an associate professor of international relations at New York University and taught at American University, Waseda University and the National University of Mongolia, where he was a Fulbright senior scholar. Stephen was a State Department senior analyst, associate professor at the Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies in Hawaii, and Washington representative for the Nautilus Institute. He has authored more than seventy publications on US policy, the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia. He appears on major media, is a member of the National Committee on North Korea, and is a graduate of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and London School of Economics.
