CURRENT POSITION
Steve is currently Senior Director for Workforce Readiness at Educational Testing Service (ETS) in Princeton, NJ. His primary responsibility at ETS is in business development: establishing ETS's presence in the Workforce Readiness market, and for identifying, negotiating, and closing various third party agreements that promote the widespread adoption and use of ETS products among users on a worldwide basis.
PAST POSITIONS Prior to ETS, Steve was Senior Vice President of Business Development at Pearson Plc, where he led a group of professionals responsible for sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and completing deals to increase the revenues and core capabilities of Pearson. These deals included acquisitions, equity investments, and joint ventures. At Pearson, he led or participated in the completion of 38 acquisitions valued at approximately $4.5 billion. Steve also brings a great deal of operating knowledge. As Chief Financial Officer of Pearson Educational Measurement division, he improved the accuracy of forecasts, successfully implemented controls under a Sarbanes-Oxley environment, and re-organized the finance team to provide needed support to grow the profit margins of the division.
