Expertise

Steve Huchendorf is a Senior Lecturer with a Doctor of Arts Degree in Economics from Illinois State University.  Recipient of a Carlson School of Management, Outstanding Teaching Award, 2014 and the Excellence in Teaching Award, 2003.  Voted by Carlson School of Management students as Outstanding Faculty of the Year, 2007 and Outstanding Honors Faculty of the Year, 2006.  Nominated by the Carlson students as Outstanding Faculty of the Year 2003, 2007, 2010, 2017.  Twice voted by the students as the Outstanding Teacher of the Year for the Department of Economics at Illinois State University. 

Dr. H is the Founder and Director of the Supply Chain & Operations Department PACE* Program (*Program for the Advancement of Classroom Excellence).  The PACE Program is a teacher training initiative aimed at developing the pedagogic abilities of Ph.D. students.

Private sector experience includes seven years with CASE Corporation in research and planning, planning & operations, and supply chain reengineering project management.  Consulting experience includes international business consulting in the project management and finance reengineering areas for the European Finance Center of CASE Corporation in Paris France.  Publications include customized corporate training on statistical techniques, learning/teaching techniques, and Solutions Manual for a Statistics text.
