Steven Sonsino is the bestselling author of more than a dozen leadership and legacy books including The CEO’s Journey, Reinventing the Future, The Seven Failings of Really Useless Leaders and You Should Write a Book

Leadership Professor with Industry Experience He is a leadership professor and legacy architect, helping CEOs and entrepreneurs to build a living legacy, and he’s a proud supporter of Virgin Unite – making business a force for good.

For more than 20 years he has been a Fellow in the Centre for Management Development at London Business School.

He is also a visiting professor at a dozen other business schools, including the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad.

But before turning to research he spent 15 years in business working for publishing giant Reed Elsevier and the Dutch publisher VNU.

Doctoral Research

His doctoral research in social psychology, at the London School of Economics, addressed narratives of leadership failure and success.

He has taught narrative methods at LSE and was identified as an Emerging Scholar by the Eastern Academy of Management in 2006.

As an international leadership speaker he works with chambers of commerce, professional and trade associations, NGOs and hundreds of global corporations – from Microsoft to HSBC and from Emirates to Coca-Cola.

Bestselling Author

In a cheeky pun on Stephen Covey’s Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, Steven wrote The Seven Failings of Really Useless Leaders with Jacqueline Moore, his wife and business partner.

The couple’s first leadership book, Leadership Unplugged, was described as ‘learned yet practical’ by Harvard Business Press.

Steven and Jacqueline’s latest title, You Should Write a Book, is a blueprint for experts and entrepreneurs who want to build a living, enduring legacy by writing their own book.

Professor at Global Business Schools

Steven has been a Fellow in the Centre for Management Development at London Business School for more than 20 years.

He was Director of the School’s flagship ‘Emerging Leaders Programme’ for three years.

In 2002 he launched an informal consortium, the Tomorrow’s Leaders Research Group, featured in People Management Magazine and Business Strategy Review.

He now teaches with major global corporations for the School around the world.

Steven is also a visiting professor at the European School of Management and Technology in Berlin, working for clients including Deutsche Telekom, Sony, Deutsche Bank and Siemens among many others.

Steven is a visiting professor at the University of Porto Business School in Portugal, working with clients including Sonae, Caixa Geral Depositos and Microsoft.

Steven is a visiting professor at HEC in Paris and Qatar working with clients including CNN and Atos.

And Steven is a visiting professor at the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad, working with clients including KPMG, Jones Lang LaSalle, Deloitte, Ernst and Young, Zydus Cadilla, PwC and many others.
