Stylianos Kampakis

Dr. Stylianos Kampakis is an expert data scientist and statistician living and working in London. He is a true polymath with degrees in Psychology, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Economics and Computer Science (PhD). He has worked on various domains including natural language processing, recommender systems, sports analytics, data culture and neural networks. Some of his publications include: the Importance of Data Strategy for Startups, Injury Prediction and Game Outcome Prediction, and Creating a Data Driven Culture Within an Organization: Sports Clubs.

He currently works at Brandtix and is responsible for creating the first index in sport that measures a player’s popularity as a combination of both on-pitch performance and off-pitch popularity.He is also a Fellow at the Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Initiative Fellowship, which empowers young European entrepreneurs and innovators with the tools, networks, and resources they need to grow their enterprises and contribute more fully to economic development and job creation, security, and good governance in the region.

Lastly, Dr. Kampakis is an Advocate at Tech London Advocates, committed to championing London’s potential as a world-class hub for tech and digital businesses and to support its start-ups in finding new investment, new talent and achieving high-growth.
