Dr Sueziani Binte Zainudin is a Senior Consultant in Endocrinology in Department of General Medicine at Sengkang General Hospital.

Dr Sueziani received her medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2002. She received her advanced specialty training in Endocrinology in Department of Endocrinology at the Singapore General Hospital.

She joined Department of Endocrinology at Singapore General Hospital in 2014, and subsequently, Sengkang General Hospital in 2016. With an avid interest in Community Programs and improving Diabetes care, she is the clinical lead in the pioneer group heavily involved in setting up the Diabetes and Endocrinology service under Sengkang General Hospital.

She led a multidisciplinary team (SKH, SHP and SGH) in Integrated Diabetes Care Program in United Kingdom under the SingHealth HMDP fellowship in 2016 to 2017, at King's College Hospital London NHS Foundation Trust with team attachments at Oxford Centre of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism, Leicester Diabetes Centre, University Hospital of Wales and Joslin Diabetes Centre, USA, with various international networking developed for enhancing Diabetes care model.

With her strong belief in improving diabetes care through integrated care, she has pioneered and developed the Integrated Care Program in Diabetes (DICP) and Endocrinology in collaboration with primary care, DREAM service for diabetes foot conditions in collaboration with other disciplines and DEAR service for diabetes care during Ramadan fasting in collaboration with the diabetes multi-disciplinary team. She is also an active member of the SKH Childhood Obesity and Diabetes workgroup with its active community outreach.

Her subspecialty interest is in Diabetes Mellitus especially in Integrated Diabetes Care, Diabetes Education, Diabetes and Ramadan, and Diabetes in Pregnancy. The research study supported by the grant she received from Endocrine and Metabolic Society of Singapore early in her Endocrinology career had been awarded the Annals Gold Best Paper Award and she remains dedicated to her research work and had developed international networking. In view of her ongoing dedication in develop better Diabetes care, she has been recently awarded New Investigator Clinical Scientist National Medical Research Council grant for research in the area of Diabetes and Ramadan.

In addition to clinical service and research, she also has an avid interest in teaching, where she had received the NUS YLL SoM Dean's Award for Teaching Excellence, and keenly contributes to the community, through her strong involvement in medical and non-medical associations.
