Ms. Sacks is a board certified Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist, Certified and Approved Consultant with the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, and is certified in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy from the Albert Ellis Institute in New York City. She is on the clinical faculty of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. She completed her baccalaureate and master’s degree in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. She has published articles on Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy in the Journal of Psychosocial Nursing and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing in Perspectives in Psychiatric Care. She has provided clinical hypnosis workshops and supervision for American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and The Greater Philadelphia Society of Clinical Hypnosis for irritable bowel syndrome, chronic pain, anxiety disorders, tobacco use disorder, disordered eating and cognitive behavioral hypnotherapy. She has 37 years of private practice psychotherapy experience in clinical hypnosis and cognitive behavioral therapy in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. She is a former co-director and trauma response clinician for Cope Consultants, which provided Critical Incident Stress Management for employees affected by workplace violence in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. She has conducted numerous wellness workshops for companies including Philadelphia Phillies, Federal Reserve Bank, Merck & Co., Vanguard, Subaru, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Pepperidge Farms, Campbell’s Soup, Aramark, Comcast, NovaCare, Law Offices of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, and Duane, Morris & Heckscher.
