Biography
Susan Moger BA, MSc is a Senior Fellow in Leadership at Manchester Business School. She has taught and researched in the area of creative problem solving, creative leadership and innovation management since 1987. Her work includes the application of the Creative Leadership principles and the Creative Problem Solving model developed at Manchester Business School to organizations including project managers and their teams in the airline, petrochemical, food, pharmaceutical and information technology sectors.
Her posts in the School have included:
- 1997-1999 Research Fellow for the European Development Fund Project – introducing creative problem solving methods into North West SMEs
- 1999-2005 Director of the Diploma in Management for Utilities, a remote learning programme designed for managers in the utilities sector in the UK
- 2001-2004 Director of the MBA Business Environment Project, managing business consultancy projects in business nationwide
- 2002-2004 Director of the UNIDO initiative (United Nations Industrial Development organisation) to produce an investment management tool for North West SMEs
- 2006 - Academic Director of the School’s high potential programme, the Programme for High Value Managers.
The creativity concepts and techniques she has developed are illustrated in her book, Handbook for Creative Team Leaders, co-authored with Tudor Rickards and published by Gower press. She is founding editor, with Tudor Rickards of the journal, Creativity and Innovation Management, published by Blackwell.
She is a member of the Project Management Institute, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in the UK and her doctoral research focuses on the management of innovation within networks.
