Susan Zago

Professor Zago has been a law librarian for over 20 years doing legal reference, teaching legal research, mentoring students, collaborating with faculty, working on collections, and in library administration. As the UNH Law Library Director, she manages all aspects of the Law Library's services, facilities and staffing and teaches legal research in the areas of copyright/trademark, social justice and International law. She is also the administrator of the CALI, Lexis, Westlaw and Bloomberg programs at the school and is the acting Archivist for the Gire Archives. She is also the advisor for UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law's Moot Court program.

Prior to UNH Law, Professor Zago worked at Northeastern University School of Law in Boston, MA, where she was the Associate Director for 11 years where she oversaw library operations. Previous to being the Associate Director, she served as the Head of Reader Services and Reference/Electronic Services Librarian.

During her time at Northeastern, she taught and mentored students in research in the first-year program of Legal Skills in Social Context and also team-taught Advanced Legal Research including classes in administrative law, cases, statutes, secondary sources, international legal research, cost-effective research, and legislative history.

Before moving to Boston, Professor Zago worked at Western New England University School of Law in Springfield, Massachusetts, where she was the Collection Services Librarian and then the Electronic Services Librarian.

Professor Zago is very active in various professional law library organizations including the Association of New Hampshire Law Librarians, the Law Librarians of New England, and the American Association of Law Libraries. She is currently the President of NELLCO, an international law library consortium. She is also a member of the New Hampshire Access to Justice Commission.
